Modest Sea

When I was contacted by Lori, from Modest Sea to blog about their company I was very excited. We all know that Summer is almost here so let’s prepare for it. It’s a great time to look for the perfect swimsuit. Everyone wants to go to the beach or the pool, but how can any sister go while being modest? Modest Sea Alternative Swimwear is the way to go. Looking at their website, I was not only impressed with how it is professional designed and organized, but their selection of swimsuits and how they are stylish and modest.


So, I asked Lori why they wanted to start this company.

"We actually started the Modest Sea company after realizing that there weren't many options available for women wanting to keep their modesty at the beach or pool. We didn't find the options that were available as fashionable or attractive as we thought they could be. The need for fashionable Modest swimwear gave us the idea. We presented our designers, that have been active in high fashion and swimwear for quite some time, with the need to meet this need, and they came up with our colorful and stylish collection."

Noor Kids

I live in America, if you don't know already and part of living in a country that isn't Muslim can be very difficult in terms of find Islamic things. The one and only thing that is at all Muslims communities through out America are mosques and local bakery selling halal meat. The average Muslim community is not as big like those in Chicago or Dearborn. So, it becomes so important to know or find out that something like Noor Kids. It's not only a benefit to us Muslims or our children, but also non-Muslims because getting educated is the key. Please read The Importance Of Education In Islam.

The largest largest Muslim country in the world, Indonesia, just wrapped up the annually fashion week. The runway is dominated by lush and vibrant colors with the latest fashion trends. The Indonesian Muslim wear is a multi-billion dollar industry that exports overseas to other Muslim countries such as Malaysia and the UAE. Here some designers with some of their collection. Some of these design can be re-hijabified. My favorite picks would have to be Lia Afif, Sessa, and Yongki Budisutisna. What are you picks?

So the 84th Annual Academy Awards was this pass Sunday. An Iranian film, A Separation, won for the Best Foreign Language Film. Which I think it was pretty cool not that I am Iranian or anything. I loved seeing the interesting gowns the actors wore that evening. Here are few my favorites picks.

I have been super excited to do this review, but first lets know a little about Écharpe à la Mode and the CEO, Ndaa Hassan.

Écharpe à la Mode is an online scarf boutique recently launched by Ndaa Hassan. She describes herself as a “fashion fanatic.” Now before doing this review, I had seen her blog and her collection online, and I have say she has a very cute unique style. Her collection feature varies scarves, from solid colors to multi-colored scarves. So, if you are into unique style or just regular average style well she has it. Now, let’s review some of her scarves, the Elegance (Apricot), Ocean Blue, and Berry Purple.

An Indonesian fashion designer, Irna La Perle, specializes in bridal gowns and special occasions. Her line is so elegant and simple. There isn't too much over flow of the gown. Their accessories are also unique suitable for special occasion. The company provides the ideal gown to any hijabi.

Salam sisters

I am going to review a hijab, Bijou by Hijab n Style, that I won in a giveaway contest by one of my favorite bloggers Sweet Modesty by Sadeel Allam. She was giving away three hijabs and I won this one. When I first opened the mailing box I notice how beautifully the hijab was wrapped, thanks Sadeel, so I just had to take a picture.
