So the 84th Annual Academy Awards was this pass Sunday. An Iranian film, A Separation, won for the Best Foreign Language Film. Which I think it was pretty cool not that I am Iranian or anything. I loved seeing the interesting gowns the actors wore that evening. Here are few my favorites picks.
"A Separation" (an Iranian movie)
Écharpe à la Mode is an online scarf boutique recently launched by Ndaa Hassan. She describes herself as a “fashion fanatic.” Now before doing this review, I had seen her blog and her collection online, and I have say she has a very cute unique style. Her collection feature varies scarves, from solid colors to multi-colored scarves. So, if you are into unique style or just regular average style well she has it. Now, let’s review some of her scarves, the Elegance (Apricot), Ocean Blue, and Berry Purple.
Heba Edris is Palestinian descent living in Eygpt and the fashion designer of evening and bridal gowns of Hijab Haute Couture. She holds the Bronze Medal in 2003 from Studio Al Fan. Here are few pictures of her 2008,2009, and 2010/11 collection. Her dresses are very elegant and beautiful. I have seen some collections by other Egyptain designer and I have to say they are not my style at all, but Heba's designs are certainly lovely.
An Indonesian fashion designer, Irna La Perle, specializes in bridal gowns and special occasions. Her line is so elegant and simple. There isn't too much over flow of the gown. Their accessories are also unique suitable for special occasion. The company provides the ideal gown to any hijabi.
