Beauty Tips

1. Always Cleanse, Exfoliate, Tone, Moisturize Your Skin

A proper skincare routine is necessary to give your face a healthy skin. Although I was told to follow these steps some daily some weekly, some once daily others three times daily, but you can determine how often is suitable for you. You should start routine weekly and work your way up to daily. I have found following these steps nightly to be best.

  • The first step is cleansing your skin. Before heading to bed, clean your face by using a facial cleanser to clean off any dirt and/or dry skin that you may have, it is not recommended to use handsoap or a soap bar that is not meant as a facial cleansing.
  • The second step is exfoliating your skin to removes all the dead layers of skin cells. Once the dead skin is removed, the skin is fresh and even cleaner. It also de-clogs your pores by removing any dirt that closes off your pores. Clogged pored can lead to acne.
  • The third step is applying a toner to even out your skin tone. This process helps reduce blemishes and dark spots.
  • The final step is moisturizing your skin to hydrate the healthy living skin cells.
2. Always Apply Sunscreen

We all know that applying sunscreen can reduce your risk of getting skin cancer, but did you know it can also help keep skin looking younger? How is that? You may ask. Well, the sun affects the collagen in your skin. Collagen is a protein in the second layer of your skin. It maintains the skin’s moisture, smoothness, youthful and wrinkle-free look. Once collagens are damaged then freckles, age spots, spider veins, wrinkles and fine lines will appear on the skin. Sunscreen will block the damaging rays and its aging effects on the skin. In other words, sunscreen not only helps reduce the risk of skin cancer but also is a great anti-aging product. Start with SPF 15 or higher sunscreen before applying makeup.

3. Buy Top Quality Makeup Brushes

We all apply makeup one way or another, it may be just a foundation, or a bronzer, or your favorite eyeshadow. Always use the right tools or the benefits of the product could be lost or the makeup won’t be applied evenly. The right brush should be soft and feel gentle on your skin. The wrong brush is the one where the bronzer falls off before applying it to your face. Consider that brush that comes with your purchased makeup an emergency brush, if your notice these brushes are the cheapest in quality, they are also rough and makeup falls off fast before applying.
